The partnership of several luxury brands recently resulted in funds raised for Florence Fuller Child Development Centers' 2013 Men with Caring Hearts event, slated for April 26 at Boca West Country Club. The Ocean-to-Intracoastal condominium One Thousand Ocean graciously hosted a pre-event reception in mid-March, bringing residents of the iconic building together with clients of Neiman Marcus, Michel Piranesi Jewelry, Ferrari/Maserati of Fort Lauderdale, and supporters of the local nonprofit organization.
Approximately 120 guests enjoyed cocktails in a two-story Beach Villa furnished by international home furnishings company Roche Bobois before ascending to a Signature Penthouse on the sixth floor of the uniquely modern building. The two new residences - with their stunning ocean, inlet, Intracoastal and city panoramas - provided perfect backdrops for the evening, complete with cocktails and delectable hors d'oeuvres. Further complementing the congenial gathering were live music and strolling fashion models drenched in exquisite jewels by designer Michel Piranesi, who was in attendance. Additional jewelry in showcases also had guests awestricken. Parked outside, at the front entrance to One Thousand Ocean, was further eye candy: a new Ferrari California, and the Florence Fuller Maserati Gran Turismo, which had thank you's and other messages of gratitude hand painted on it by some of the children benefiting from FFCDC programs.
The sale of raffle tickets and a drawing by the charity yielded monies for the upcoming Men with Caring Hearts event. Fortunate winners walked away, respectively, with an 18K gold, pink sapphire and white diamond brooch, and pink sapphire and white diamond ring (donated by Piranesi from Neiman Marcus Boca Raton); a weekend of driving a Maserati (courtesy of Ferrari/Maserati of Fort Lauderdale); and a two-night stay for two at the Boca Raton Resort & Club or the Boca Beach Club (courtesy of One Thousand Ocean).
Additionally, any luxury car or jewelry purchases made during the reception at One Thousand Ocean benefitted FFCDC.
"We were pleased to host this benefit to help ensure that the wonderful work of the Florence Fuller organization continues," said Jamie Telchin, president of development with LXR Luxury Resorts & Hotels. An LXR affiliate developed One Thousand Ocean, which is located on the tip of a private peninsula at the Boca Inlet, and adjacent to the Boca Raton Resort's Boca Beach Club. "The local community has been very good to us, and we were glad to give back in this way."
FFCDC was established in 1971 as a preschool and childcare program in Boca Raton that prepared disadvantaged young children to enter kindergarten socially capable and academically ready. Today the nonprofit annually serves 625 children from ages six weeks to 13 years at its two centers in East and West Boca Raton as it continues it mission of making a positive difference in the lives of youth from economically challenged families in the local community.
Only five of 53 new residences remain at One Thousand Ocean, including two move-in-ready units, and three customizable, designer-ready seven-floor penthouses. Current prices are from approximately $3,000,000 to $12,950,000.
