Modern Jewish Wedding E-Magazine Launches National Photography Contest to Find Its Cover Couple for September 2013 Issue

Would that glamorous bridal gown turn the head of even the greatest of Gatsbys? Did the chuppah take the cake? A top online destination for brides and grooms planning a Jewish or interfaith ceremony, Modern Jewish Wedding today announced it seeks photo nominations for its second annual magazine cover contest. The winning photo will be published in September 2013 on the cover of the second annual Modern Jewish Wedding E-Zine, the Jewish brides guide to the chuppah, inspired by the website of the same name.

Wedding photographers, brides, grooms and families are invited to submit photos that meet these specifications by midnight (GMT -6:00) on June 30, 2013, to be considered. Finalists will be announced on or after July 8, 2013. The general public will vote on the winner on the blog theModernJewishWedding.com, which will feature a pool of finalists determined by the judging panel. The grand-prize winners photo will be published on the cover of the 2013 Modern Jewish Wedding E-Zine.

Michele Schwartz, chief event organizer, Jewish life cycles expert, creator and editor-in-chief of The Modern Jewish Wedding, created the first Jewish wedding e-Zine especially for brides, grooms, and all who love weddings. On her blog, The Modern Jewish Wedding.com, she provides daily inspiration for brides, grooms and the wedding professionals who serve them and encourages them to create the Jewish celebration of their dreams.

Every Jewish wedding is a unique expression of that couples Jewish heritage, and we are looking for those beautiful moments that made a wedding memorable for the couple and their guests, Schwartz says.

Coming in October, the second annual Modern Jewish Wedding E-zine will feature five different Jewish and interfaith weddings, among them an exotic destination wedding in Cabo San Lucas and a vintage-inspired ceremony and celebration in Chicago.

The 2013 Modern Jewish Wedding E-Zine will be published at the Jewish New Year. Were looking for the perfect picture to be on the cover. Entering the contest is as easy as 1-2-3.

1.Pick a photo. Bride, bride and groom or groom only, as long as it is a photo of a Jewish or Interfaith wedding. Need some ideas? Here are the finalists from last year. Choose an image with at least 2.75 from the top of the photo to the beginning of the image (head) for the magazines name plate. Look for an image that follows the rule of thirds, leaving space for cover headlines.

2.Fill out the form. Share the story behind the photo who, what, where, when and why. Any entry not accompanied by a submission form will be ineligible for the contest.

3.Send in the photo with name of photographer. Invite editor@themodernjewishwedding.com via Dropbox or send it by CD or Flash Drive to: The Modern Jewish Wedding, 3571 Far West Blvd., PMB #120, Austin, TX 78731.
